要相信神需要一些可观的理由，或者它是软弱，仅怀着盼望的信心而已，但它可以随着一个人的经验改变而随之改变。若一个人在法国过得很好，她可以说神在那里，祂很好。但是如何解释身在印度的人，过着不舒适的生活？神真的在那里吗？对于那个人，神是否是可寻找，并对他有帮助？你如何晓得？你看，信心不是原因，而是信心由什么来支持？
